About Saccharomyces boulardii

S. boulardii is a special probiotic that’s a strain of yeast, not bacteria. Studies have shown that S. boulardii is safe and effective for cats and dogs and that it can prevent and reduce diarrhea from multiple causes. It has anti-inflammatory properties. As a probiotic, it is especially helpful for regrowing gut microbe populations that have become imbalanced and for promoting healthy skin.


And unlike bacterial probiotics, S. boulardii isn’t affected by antibiotics, so it can also be used during antibiotic treatment to help with the digestive side effects that antibiotics often cause. Studies have shown that when S. boulardii is given along with an antibiotic, pets are much less likely to develop diarrhea during or after the course of medication.


S. boulardii is also resilient to stomach acid, so when it reaches the intestines, it’s still intact and alive, while many bacterial probiotics die in the stomach and never make it to the gut. Once in the gut, S. boulardii produces friendly compounds called short-chain fatty acids, which support a diverse microbiome, a strong gut barrier, and a well-functioning immune system.


About Fructooligosaccharides (FOS)


Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are tiny, soluble fibers. The raw material from which the FOS in our S. boulardii + FOS is produced is Non-GMO beet sugar*. These particular fibers are prebiotic, meaning that they are the preferred food of beneficial microbes like the ones in your pet’s gut. Making sure all the beneficial members of the gut microbiome get enough of the right food is crucial not just for healthy digestion but also for a strong immune system, healthy skin, and even a happy mood. Studies in dogs have shown that supplementation with FOS improves both gut health and immune function.

The S. boulardii + FOS contains a clear scoop. Use the scoop to measure out the suggested amount of powder, according to the dosing chart. Then, mix the powder into your pet’s food at mealtime.

This stuff works!

Our 2 1/2 year old golden retriever has suffered on and off with diarrhea since she was spayed at age 1. We tried everything including a hydrolyzed diet and metronidazole. The diet didn't work and we did not want her on metronidazole life long. I researched and found AnimalBiome. We did the testing and now have her on the S.boulardii + FOS Powder daily. It stopped the diarrhea. I just sprinkle it on her food. She doesn't have a problem with eating it. She receives 2 scoops in the am and pm. I worked with a representative of AnimalBiome and they were wonderful in helping us use their products & the correct amounts to help our golden.

Highly recommend!

This product saved the day for my golden! After 3 years of battling diarrhea, I finally discovered animal biome. He had been to the vet numerous times and was constantly on antibiotics. Even my vet, who is absolutely wonderful couldn’t find anything that helped. I was beyond frustrated and about to take my boy to a specialist. I spent hours researching various conditions that could be causing his issues and stumbled on animal biome website. I bought this probiotic and within days he finally started having normal bowel movements! He’s been on this for more than 2 years now and no more diarrhea! If your dog is suffering from diarrhea and has been examined by a vet to rule out anything serious, I would very highly recommend this product!

Overnight results

My senior cat has suffered with diarrhea for about 6 months. After exhausting all options at the vet, we tried this product and the FMT capsules. At first she was just taking the FMT capsules and we didn't really notice a difference. We tried mixing a half dose of this into her food and the next day her stool was almost solid and she wasn't using the litter after every meal. I gave her a full dose every day for about one week and her stools went back to normal and her appetite has improved! I have tried slowly taking her off of it to see how she does and it has been one week and so far so good! She is still taking the FMT pills, which may also be helping. Would highly recommend giving this a try.

Happily Surprised at How Well This Addressed 2 of my dogs issues

One of my Border Collies had unfriendly bacteria which was hard to address initially but S. Bouardii knocked it out...By doing this the remaining issues with seasonal allergies was also addressed. My puppy had occasional diarrhea but again this product has stopped that with the suggestions given of. how to administer from the free 15 min. consultation. Very Very happy with this product and support by AnimalBiome.

This stuff works!
